I am the Biological Sciences Laboratory Technician responsible for managing all aspects of laboratory operations in our lab. I also train students in various laboratory protocols. In addition, I conduct research utilizing DNA sequences of various genes to use in conjunction with AFLP data that I also generate in the lab. I am also involved with construction of databases. The first is a compilation of original chromosome counts reported for potato. The second is an Access database which will allow users to search for traits of interest reported in the literature for those accessions that are currently available at the US Potato Genebank.
