To produce taxonomic revisions of selected groups of Solanum, and to develop the names and collection database for PBI Solanum. A taxonomic revision of section Regmandra, a small group of species from the lomas of Chile and Peru, is nearing completion, after which work will begin on revising the non-spiny species from Africa.
